Southend's Got Talent

Tonight I was enthralled by the choirs of Southend's finest schools,
backed by and band featuring Catryn on flute..EVA and Elena came
out buzzing from stage door and we took a ride home in her daddy's
black taxi. It almost felt like being in London's West end!

Yes we've gone and had a make over..

bored of the old look and this feels so much more beside the seaside and in tune with nature.

but mainly I was bored.

Our Stuart. Our Hero.

Centre spread of the DailyMail..I claim the first points in the 'Spot
the Stuart' game. As I have photographic proof and have even done that
thing like in C.S.I when they "zoom in, ok a little bit closer,
ok ..can you enhance the man there...my God, it's Stuart Mawhinney,
international fixer to the England team, get me the president!..I
mean, get me the Fabio!"..

You can tell I'm excited about the world cup can't you?

New Cadbury flake Ad.

Eva took delivery of her new bike today!!

The Happy Harris's are gonna go bike ride crazy this weekend!now it's only mummy who doesn"t have a bike.
I think Mummy would look good on the school run riding this...

there's this cool company in America that make these industrial style bikes, they also produce these Biria Easy Boarding Bike, which look great, and is a nice idea for the ladies, no swinging the old leg over the crossbar

but ultimately there's only one bike to keep the Harris's Happy...

or in Mummy's case maybe the...

True World Cup spirit

In an age of multi millionaire footballer ad's and pre World Cup hype, I came across this little story which I think would make a beautiful Film or commercial.

This image was shot onto a glass plate, and was one of the few surviving photographs as most were destroyed due to the fact they were too heavy to carry.

After the Norwegian Amundsen (December 1911) and Scott (January 1912) had reached the South Pole, Shackleton thought up and attempted to carry out another great plan - to cross the 2000 mile Antarctic continent.

This trip was a very successful failure. The team of 28 men and 68 dogs never set foot on the continent Shackleton's ship the "Endurance"was trapped in the ice (see behind the goal, they actually stripped wood from the boat to make the goal! not quite "Jumpers for Goalposts")

In January 1915 it was squashed and sank by the pressure of the ice, leaving 28 men on the ice with 3 small ship's boats. They then spent 5 ( admittedly summer) months on an iceberg floating away from the continent.

Even though food supplies were low, they were cold and isolated, not knowing if they would live or die, what did they do to pass the time?,... what any group of blokes would do in their situation...

have a kickabout.

Daddy's Christmas Present already sorted..
