A beautiful coming together of both...

Guy walks across America - update

The last shot shows him crossing off "walk across America" on his bucket list, with a closeup of the Levi's back pocket. Guess what? Adweek says it was all sponsored by Levi's.

So, is this cool? It's free, after all. No one is hurt by the implied promise of a true story. Yet if we all know traditional advertising is fake, which is why we're rushing to social media to find fresher, grittier, more realistic content, do we really want to find manipulated material there as well? It's lovely art direction, Levi's. But is seeding the Internet with fake virals about arduous adventures with no disclosure, well, really building brand loyalty?

P.S., if you want to see real truth, Christoph Rehage walked 4,646 kilometers across China. We can almost hear the Levi's agency pitch meeting: Dudes, remember that crazy guy who hiked across Asia? We'll film it in a month, except with your jeans. And our guy will have better hair.

Guy walks across America

A video of a man trekking from the Brooklyn Bridge to the Golden Gate Bridge was this weekend’s viral sensation on YouTube, racking up half-a-million views since its debut on Tuesday.

The video is popular not just because it’s a trek past American landmarks both major and minor, but because of a unique visual effect created by a combination of stop-motion and time-lapse video. The finished project consists of 2,770 still frames shot over 14 days. The filmmakers actually traveled cross-country in an RV, “living on the Gatorade diet” and stopping at scenic places along the way to do their shoots. A 'Making of' film and Map's showing his route are here

Walking down to the local village shop to get our Sunday morning papers I came accross these rather dapper fella's and their bikes.

What a rather civilised bunch they were too. Loved the 'Steptoe & Son Special' I caught a few snaps before they left for their next non alchoholic drink in St.Neots

Quentin Blake

Nice scaffolding wraparound at Kings Cross featuring kids and
characters from Roald Dahl's famous stories. Worth wandering around
the new Terminal just for this.

Certificate's a plenty

Today, Tallulah was awarded with a 'star pupil' prize in the end of year

Also Minnie passed her ballet exam.

or in a hall of mirror's?...

Real artists

I saw this guy out my office window, I went out and spoke to him,
turns out he comes into London from his house in the counties a couple
of days a week. He mainly paints reflections, he was doing one in a
shop window opposite.

What a nice thing, to be able to paint when and if you choose, or
better still only when you see something worthy of painting...

What is you always say GaGa? Do something you truly love, then try and
find someone willing to pay you to do it...

from the man who brought us the drumming gorilla...

this lame weirdness,
the one thing I'm most angry about is that at least three of my daughters,
(maybe four) could have could have acted this better.

The Harris 7 have officially left the building.

We came, we saw, we had good times, Carla's shot of the girls heights
marked on the wall nearly had me wobbling.

Happy to be out. Happy to spend some time with Nanny & Gaga until we
lay our roots back down...where...

Who knows....
